OLD BUSINESS:
Club events for 2006
After passing a motion to include the “Run through the Jungle” as a points
event for the current year, Mark F. and Steve T. explained that essentially the
event is not run as a competition, there are no placings, thus scoring it as a
points event would be effectively impossible. Moved by Mark F., seconded by
Cindy and passed unanimously that this year's “Run Through the Jungle” will be
an official club event, with perpetual trophies presented at the club banquet,
but will not count towards year end points.
Gate lock
Mark C. will coordinate with Bill Motherwell to install double lock mechanism
on property gate.

re-post them at the Joe Brown trial.

at events.
Work meeting

including this event.
Next meeting:
June 6th.
ADJOURNMENT: 8.30pm.
After the meeting, members of the executive met at the Joe Brown trial and discussed an emerging problem in which riders who only expected to compete in one club trial in the year were unwilling to pay the $60 annual membership fee in order to compete in that single event. This problem costs the club a significant number of riders. It was decided to instigate an interim solution to this problem by establishing a single event membership for which a person would pay a $20 membership fee, in addition to the normal event entry fee of $10. This class of membership would be non-voting and last only for the single event. Subsequent events in the same year would require a similar single event membership and entry fee, or payment of the normal full membership annual fee. This policy will remain in effect until ratified or revoked by the next membership meeting.
